Mr. Viktor KORZH

Viktor Korzh was born on August 3, 1957 in Kharkiv.

1974 – 1981 – graduated from Kharkiv Medical Institute, qualification: medicine.

1985 – 1989 – graduated from Kyiv State Institute of Physical Culture, Kharkiv faculty of sports, qualification: physical culture and sports.

Candidate in “Physical Culture and Sports”.

Career: 1982 – 1983 – a doctor of clinical hospital #27 in Kharkiv.

1983 – 1985 – a doctor, head physician of the physical clinic of the Kharkiv regional council “Dynamo”.

1985 – 1989 – Deputy Chairman of the Kharkiv regional council “Dynamo”.

1994 – 1995 – Deputy Chairman of joint-stock company “Investor” in Kharkiv.

1995 – 1997 – First Deputy Chairman of the Kharkiv regional council “Dynamo”.

1997 – 2005 – First Deputy Chairman of sport society “Dynamo” of Ukraine in Kyiv.

Major-General of Police.

2005 – a retiree of the MIA of Ukraine.

On December 1, 2006 appointed Minister for Family, Youth and Sport of Ukraine by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Master of sports of the USSR of international class on cycle racing. Honoured Worker of Physical Culture and Sports.
President of the Gymnastics Federation of Ukraine.
Vice-president of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.

Decorated with orders “For Merits” of III degree, “Danylo Halytsky”, official awards of all law-enforcement departments.

Member of the Regions’ Party. Married.

Has two children.
