Lviv, Ukraine / Dec 01, 2005
SoftServe's long-term partner and client - the RE3W (Real Estate
on the World Wide Web) - has launched its latest 'Virtual'
Prospecting Tool for the commercial real estate industry. This
revolutionary application was developed in Ukraine by SoftServe,
the leading Eastern European software development company, and was
recently showcased in San Francisco at the introduction of
Microsoft Corporations' Windows Live® and Office Live® on
November 1.
RE3W software incorporates proprietary search, store and share
technology to seamlessly integrate with universal Microsoft®
business applications and Web services, including Windows Live
Local Powered by MSN Virtual Earth® maps and local search
capabilities. Developed in Microsoft .NET, this robust online
application allows commercial real estate professionals to easily
locate a specific property, ownership records and contact
information within minutes without a property address or owner
name.
In a follow up to Microsoft's Live event, Richard Frost, the
RE3W founder and CEO, talked to Microsoft PressPass about the RE3W application
development and company's elaborate decision to partner with
SoftServe:
"When I started the company about five years ago, it was
pretty clear that finding outside development resources for RE3W
would be the most effective path. That's what led me to SoftServe,
which is based in Lviv, Ukraine. SoftServe is a Microsoft Gold
Partner, and its people are very intelligent, so I completely
trusted their recommendation that we develop RE3W on the .NET
platform - even though it was a new and emerging technology at the
time. They also made a convincing case that adopting a full-fledged
Microsoft technology environment for our business was the right way
to go. Those were two of the best decisions we've made..."
In his interview with Robert Hess at Microsoft's Channel 9, Richard shared more
detail on his outsourcing experience with SoftServe:
"...You know, people talk about doing a lot of development
partnering in India, and the thing that we found with our friends
at SoftServe, is that everyone on team speaks just tremendous
English. We have phone calls with them every week - they are big
communicators. They even put an individual in their staff in our
office full time. So we've got a tremendous relationship with them!
In preparation of getting ready for the demo that we did today,
they flew in one of their top engineers and couple of their guys to
work for this locally. So we were able to literally work 24 hours a
day to get everything ready, and they've done a tremendous
job!.."
Responding to Frost's remarks was Taras Kytsmey, SoftServe's
President, who said:
"It was our great pleasure to work with RE3W over these many
years, and to help them bring this robust application to market
faster and to deliver an enhanced experience to its customers. This
unique combination of software and services is a logical, but
strikingly pleasant result of our "fruitful" collaboration and
unique working partnership with RE3W. Being showcased at the major
Microsoft's media event is a remarkable industry achievement for
our long-term client RE3W, as well as a tacit acknowledgement of
SoftServe's high-quality development services and our complete
dedication to client's success."
November announcements from Microsoft and RE3W highlight the
year for SoftServe and serve as significant milestones of it being
recognized by industry leaders as a provider of superior software
services to clients and partners worldwide.
