[27.02.2008] Arsen Avakov insists on the program’s fulfillment of the Malyshev plant conversion

The head of the regional state administration informed the journalists about it after closing the session of the activists of the region. "The fulfillment of the program of conversion of the plant should be realized, this is not signed by the central executive organs for three years. In 2005, I, Mr. Gritsenko (a former Director General of the plant, - comment) and the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Timoshenko had worked out the first steps in that direction and begun to carry out them. However, the Government of Viktor Yanukovich had brought that program to nothing", - emphasized the head of the region.
According to Arsen Avakov, the essence of conversion is in the change of the main military-industrial profile of the enterprise for the civil. "Unfortunately, we have lost a year and a half and today we must return to this topic. Can this be done nowadays? It is a subject of a serious analysis", - added Arsen Avakov.
Commenting on the question of the journalists as for the forthcoming change of the governing body of the Malyshev plant, the head of the regional state administration confirmed that he had signed the statement on appointment Gennady Gritsenko Director of the Malyshev plant. However, according to Arsen Avakov, at present one should not talk on the change of the plant’s governing body. The head of the region appealed to the journalists not to speculate on the topic of the personnel appointments: "When there is a personnel rearrangement, we should talk about this, but to steal a paper from the table and then create hypothetical ideas around that – this is not a problem yet".
