Student sporting health camp “Medic”, founded in 1972, adopted the first holiday-makers in 1974 . This year and is the year of his official opening. By a summer, from June, 25 for August, 28, here can perfectly conduct time and pick up thread the health over 1000 holiday-makers.

A camp is located in a wonderful pine-wood on the birch of one of charming of Shatsk lakes – lake Pisochne. A “physician” occupies the 3,50 ãà areas of Schatsk of national preserve. On December, 30, 1997, in obedience to a decision of Shatsk district soviet of folk deputies, the Lviv national medical university of the name of Danyla Galytskiy got “State Act on a right for the permanent use earth”. Students and teachers of University are in a position to rest in 16 wooden cottages for 4 rooms in each or in a three-storeyed brick sleeping corps into 78 places.

There is a full complex of sporting grounds in a camp, where holiday-makers conduct  educational-trainings employments, and also the students-sportsmen of collapsible commands of University practice from the different types of sport. All terms for the amateurs of mini football, basket-ball, volley-ball, tennis, table tennis, chess, badminton, swimming, rowing on boats, circulations on a lake on catamarans, fishing are here created, separate types of track-and-field and others like that. In a camp experimental specialists, teachers of department of physical education and health, work with the course of TG and SM which execute work of instructors from a physical culture and sport and rescuers. Instructors conduct various competitions, discos.

There are the good traditions in a camp. For example, every day in a camp begins from hoisting a Flag of Ukraine and implementation of national anthem. Each term is conducted merry “Day of Neptune”, and a traditional track-and-field cross-country race on is Augusts, 24 dedicated Day of Independence of Ukraine.

By a summer a dining-room which simultaneously can serve and give a high-quality meal 250 by a holiday-maker works in a camp. A dining-room is served by highly skilled chef and cooks, workers of complex of University’s cafeteria. In 2003 years high-quality alteration of bath rooms is done in a camp, and a pier and modern illumination is set in 2004 years.

To services resting is radio of camp , due to which it is possible to enjoy soft music, Ukrainian songs, to listen news and announcements. “Medic” has and the station of boats and catamarans, good lake pier for walks, fishing and rest. On territory two motor-car stands which are able on changing simultaneously to adopt about 80 cars of holiday-makers are located. On the whole in a camp during a year 8 regular workers work constantly, and by a summer – about 40 persons of auxiliary personnel. By a summer sporting health camp “Medic” in each of heel operating changes adopts over 200 persons, among which students, master's degrees, graduate students, clinical interns and representatives of ïðîôåñîðñüêî-âèêëàäàöüêîãî composition of the Lvov national medical university of the name of Danyla Galytskiy, and also holiday-makers from other organizations and establishments of Lviv .
