International Master’s in Quaternary and Prehistory

Durations: 2 years

Course description:

The International Master’s degree in Quaternary and Prehistory trains specialists in prehistory and paleo-antropologi, teaching its students the metods and techniques of research in anthropology, prehistory, Quaternary, geology and palaeontology. Its also provides students with an understanding of the ussues surrounding the preservationand revaluation of our natural and cultural heritage.

The course provides students with skills which equip them for careers in the management of museum and scientific, natural history and archaeological parks. They will develop the ability to direct archaeological, prehistoric and palaeontological excavations, and catalogue and file prehistoric heritage data (including IT skills (GIS)). They will be qualified to carry out research activities for state or private companies, including universities and museums, and will also acquire expertise in specialised publishing and the procedures of scientific disclosure (including online sources).

The course involves higer education partners in four countries: the University of Ferrara (Italy), Rovira i Virgili University (Spain), the Polytecnic Institute of Tomar (Portugal), the University of Tras-os Montes e Alto Douro (Portugal) and the National Museum of Natural History (France). The languages of instruction are English and French. The expected sise of the student population on the cjurse is about 50 students per institution. The professor/student ratio for laboratori and “on site” activities is approximately 1 to 15. Each instruction has low cost guest-rooms and may also offer language-immersion summer schools and scholarship.

Indonesian scholarship program:

DARMASISVA is a scholarship program for studying in Indonesian, open to foreign students from coutries with which Indonesia has friendly кудфешщтыбещ study Indonesian language, arts, music and crafts. Participants can choose their place of study among over 38 universities and colledges participating in the program.

The main purpose of the Darmasiswa program is to arouse anв foster interest in the language and culture among citizens of countries with friendly relations to Indonesia. It has also been designed to reciprocate scholarship programs provided by others countries for Indonesian citizens and to forge closer cuultural finks with these nations.

The DARMASISVA program is essentially a "non-degree" program of one year or less. Thу practicipants are prohibited from engaging in any political and\or busines activities which may result in destabilizing govermental programs or lead to personalprofit/gain.

    2. b. Wiling to help the universities/colleges in academic activities during more or less 5 (five) hours per week

French language courses:  

Academic year courses: october to may, to weeks to 2 semesters, groups of 6 to 10 students.

Intensive course: 22 hours per week. Morning classes (15 hours) + conversation, civilization and self-training in the afternoon (7 hours).

Summer courses: June, July, August, September. 25 hours per week: classes (15 hours), workshops (6 hours), conferences (4 hours). Preparation for the DELF and DALF exams. Certificate of attendance.

One year scholarship program sponsored by the Free State of Bavaria:

The Free State of Bavaria invites applications for its one-year scholarship program for students from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe for the academic year 2008/09 via BAYHOST.

The Bavarian ministry for science, research and art is expected to sponsor scholarship for the academic year 2008/09. Graduetes from Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and for the first time from the Ukraine are eligible to apply. The scholarship are meant to finance doctoral or postgraduate studies at Bavarian universisies. One year scholarship can be extended twise for up to 3 years.

The scholarship is paid out monthly (700 EUR) and amounts to 8400 EUR per year. Students with children or an unemployed partner and at least one child receive 860 EUR rep month, which amounts to 10320 EUR per year.
Candidats should send their documents to the Bavarian Academic Centre for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (BAYHOST).

Application deadline for first time application is the 15th of  February 2007. ReRequest for extension must reach us by  15th of March 2007.

Paris 1 La Sorbonne University - Paris Dauphine University MBA International Paris:

The MBA International Paris (MBA IP) is an international graduate program coordinated by two prestigious Universities:

  • Paris 1 La Sorbonne University
  • Paris Dauphine University

Graduates get a degree delivered by these two Universities.

The MBA International Paris is:

1. International: all courses are delivered outside France in the local institution of the host country;

2. In continuing education: participant usually come from corporations or administrations. Graduate students may participate to this program;

3. Degree-seeking: participant will get the MBA IP degree from Paris 1 La Sorbonne University and Paris Dauphine University;

4. Face to face teaching: all courses are delivered in front of the Professors from Paris 1 La Sorbonne University and Paris Dauphine University coming from Paris to the host country and the by the Professors of the local intitution;

5. Using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) between formal classes, especially internet, CD-ROMs and sometimes videoconferencing;

6. Using self-training between formal classes: a pedagogical toolkit including books and CD-ROMs is delivered to each participant;

7. In partnership with the local institution in each country
