Embassy of God: A reference point for Institutions of Learning.
“The largest Evangelical church in Europe today is located in Kyiv. In many ways, it illustrates a number of growing trends in global Christianity, and in particular how they are operative in Ukraine. Known as the Embassy of the blessed Kingdom of God for All nations, or the Embassy of God, to its nearly 20,000 members the church was created in 1994…”Also added “…The Embassy of God is a highly innovative example of a religious community going global and yet its heart and roots are in Ukraine”.
These are the words from a religious studies text book used in an American Institution. Indeed, when God moves, the world cannot help but be marveled at the awesomeness He exhibits.
The book REBOUNDING IDENTITIES – The Politics of Identity In Russia and Ukraine; in the eighth chapter - from pages 259 – 269 gives an account of the Embassy of God, a bit of its history and mentions how God has promoted one of its prominent members, Leonid Chernovet’skyi (the current mayor of Kyiv).
This superior volume is based on a series of workshops at the Kennan Institute and was edited by Dominique Arel and Bair A. Ruble.
