Polish-Ukrainian Consultative Talks at the Presidential Level

On 1 February 2007, in Odessa, Ukraine a Consultative Committee of the Presidents of the two states took place. The Ukrainian side was headed by the Head of the Presidential Administration Mr. Oleksander Chalyi whereas Polish – by the EHad of the President’s Cabinet Mr. Elzhbeta Yakuby. The Presidential Consultative Committee was created back in 1993. Since then it has helped successfully for the promotion of the bilateral relations in various fields, including cross-border cooperation. The strong emphasis at the consultative meeting was made on increasing capacity of crossings at Polish-Ukrainian cross-border checking-points, in particular in Peremyshl, the bordering town.
