As issuers Kreditprombank finished certification of chip cards MasterCard. This is the only bank in Ukraine, certified simultaneously on two payment systems Visa and MasterCard. In March there was a certification of the bank as issuer and acquirer of Visa chip cards and after their successful testing by the representatives of MasterCard in Belgium there was a certification of Visa payment cards. Thus, the bank gained the right to issue MC Gold, MC Standart, Maestro, MC Electronic chip cards.
What is the advantage of a chip card? It is embedded with microprocessor, which can certain 80 times more information, than magnetic strip of present payment cards. It is capable to process and save all possible data, which is very convenient in use for its holder. Besides, chip card is multifunctional, i.e. it may be debit and credit simultaneously, also it may accumulate loyalty programmes – include bonuses and discounts. And what is the most important, it is impossible to counterfeit chip on such card, this excludes fraud cases with it.
