Roundtable on Brand Protection in Ukraine

Agenda:
The Roundtable on Brand Protection in Ukraine initiated by the Chamber IPR Committee in conjunction with "Delo" Magazine, Publishing House Ekonomika was conducted on November 20, 2007. The event was educationally oriented for the Ukrainian media and the Chamber Members had an opportunity to provide details on Intellectual Property and, in particular, Brand Protection practices, their importance for Ukrainian customers, for the economy of Ukraine, its competitiveness and chances to be quickly and fully integrated into the larger global economy.

Representatives of companies from different industry sectors, as well as law firms - the Chamber Members - delivered presentations covering reasons why Brand Protection is important for both domestic and foreign companies and Ukrainian consumers of their goods and services, as well as shared practices and specificity of Brand Protection in Ukraine and ways of cooperation with appropriate Ukrainian State authorities to further strengthen and activate effective Brand Protection measures.
