The Conference is taking place in Ljubljana, Slovenia and will combine several thematic areas throughout a period of 3 days. It is intended for Scientists from National Laboratories and Institutes, Government Agencies, University Professors, Private Company representatives, International Organizations, and Embassies. The main purpose is to foster former weapon scientists to promote themselves and to help them secure financing for research activities.

The event approach is to have three dedicated days. After the official opening on the Monday morning, a first dedicated series of oral presentation with a Technical Exhibition will take place as a Workshop on Biotechnologies. Tuesday and Wednesday shall follow the same format but they will be respectively dedicated to Nanotechnologies/New Materials and Aerospace respectively. In support to the event presentations, sector-related Technology Profile Forms will be made available. Finally, as scientists will be only meeting one day on their thematic subjects, they will have an opportunity during the other two days to organize a series of targeted visits to laboratories, institutes or enterprises.
