Georgi Djulgerov (Bulgary)
director, producer, scriptwriter
 
Born on 1943 in Burgas, Bulgaria. Graduated the VGIK Film School in Moscow in 1970. He has directed feature films that took part in the Berlin, Locarno, Oberhausen, Avelino, Palermo, Rotterdam, Montreal, San Francisco, Batumi (Georgia), Mons, and Mannheim-Heidelberg film festivals. His movies were shown in special screening programs in Warsaw, Paris, New York (Museum of Modern Art), London, Frankfurt-am-Main, Moscow, Kiev, Vienna, Los Angeles, La Rochelle, Riga, Bratislava, Fujisawa, Genoa. His film «The Camp» was part of the Cannes «Quinzaine des réalisateurs» program in 1990. Djulgerov has also staged theatre productions and has directed several TV projects. He was a member of the jury at the international film festivals in Berlin '95 and Moscow '97. He has a degree of the professor in Film and TV Directing at the Academy for Dramatic and Film Art in Sofia, Bulgaria and a voting member of the European Film Academy.

Irvin Kershner (USA)
director, producer, actor

Irwin Kershner was born on April 29, 1923 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. A graduate of the University of Southern California film school, Irvin Kershner began his career in 1950, producing documentaries for the U.S. Information Service in the Middle East. He turned to television in the 1950s, directing and photographing a series of documentaries called «Confidential File.» Kershner was one of the directors given his first break by producer Roger Corman, for whom he shot Stakeout on Dope Street (1958). The main theme that runs through many of Kershner's films is social alienation and human weaknesses — although his biggest commercial success was the sci-fi blockbuster Star Wars: Episode V — The Empire Strikes Back (1980).

Gennady Ostrovsky (Russia)
script writer
A professional musician-saxophonist. Graduated from Rostov conservatoire. After having written his first play, Gennady Ostrovsky entered All-Russia Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) with the goal to obtain the second higher education there. However, the studies at VGIK didn’t last long — in a year he finally gave them up. Instead Ostrovsky became a student of the Higher Script Writing and Directorial Courses. Currently, Gennady Ostrovsky — is one of the most well-known Russian scriptwriters. Films staged by his scripts usually make best box-offices. Winner of the numerous national and international awards — among them the Prize for the best script at film festival in San Sebastian. One of the recent Ostrovsky’s achievements is Grigoriy Gorin Prize (Kinotavr-2005) for the script to the Pavel Lungin’s film Poor Relatives.

Roman Shyrman (Ukraine)
director, producer

Honoured artist of Ukraine. Graduated from the All-Union State Cinematographic Institute, specializing in film directing (Professor’s Zhuridi’s workshop). Laureate of numerous international and domestic cinema and TV festivals.

Works with «Kyivnaukfilm», «Cinematographist» film studios, TV channels «Inter», «Russia», STB.

In 2003-2004 author, director and host of the «Cultural Splash» programme on «Inter» channel.

Professor at the Kyiv National Arts and Culture Institute, film directing faculty.

Author of the book «Film Directing on TV» (2004).

Stephan Haupt (Switzerland)
film director, producer

Born on 1961 in Zurich. During 1978-79 studied as an exchange student in the USA. Starting from 1985 he studied in Theatre Academy Zurich and in 1988 he obtained the degree of theatre pedagogue. In 1996 Stephan Haupt entered Swiss Filmmakers’ Association. In 1999 he became a Committee member of this organization.

Three years ago Stephan Haupt presented his debut full-length feature «Utopia Blues» in the Molodist program and won the Grand Prix of the festival. His next film also participated in the program of the Molodist 2003. Actually, it will be third Molodist experience for Stephan Haupt already.

Yvan Le Moin (Belgium)

Born in July 20th 1959 in Nice (France). Studied at the seminary secondary school. 1973 Failed his B.E.P.C. exams. 1979 — Founder and manager of the café théâtre d'Edgard in Paris and founder of the cinema review «Poids Plume Cinéma». 1981 — Founder and manager of Cinéma Rivoli, Paris. 1984 — Founder and manager of the Actor's Studio, Brussels. 1985 — Four years at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion — filmmaking department. 1989 — Graduates with distinction from I.A.D. -filmmaking department — Production: «1 mètre 28 au dessus du niveau de la mer». 1998 — Screenwriter, director and producer of the feature-length film: «The Red Dwarf». 2002 — Founder and manager of the Best of Short Films Festivals in La Ciotat (France). 2003 — Production of the feature film «Friday or another day»
