Every one in ten Serbs will be heading for Bulgaria during the summer holidays this year, the flow marking a considerable increase over the previous year, shows data of the Union of Tourist Agencies in Serbia.
A visa-free regime, low prices, sparkling sea water and the possibility to travel the 900 kilometers to Bulgaria's coastline by their own cars makes the country one of the most popular summer destinations for Serb tourists, local tour operators say, as cited by the Bulgarian section of the BBC.
Serb newspapers abound with ads about Bulgaria's coastline, offering a ten-day summer holiday at a price of EUR 45-60.
About 12% of the Serbs say they will opt for a summer holiday in Turkey, while 34% would like to spend their days off in Greece. |
