Arkema SA, a leading world producer of vinyl products, industrial chemicals, and performance products has successfully completed the acquisition of shares of Coatex SAS (France), which is active in production of reological additives for water solutions, being a subsidiary of the Omya SAS.

The transaction was subject to the legal information and consultation process involving representative bodies for the three groups, Arkema, Coatex and Omya, and to the approval of the antitrust authorities in the relevant countries, including Ukraine’s jurisdiction where Konnov & Sozanovsky acted as a Ukrainian legal counsel to Arkema SA on various stages of acquisition of Coatex SAS, including obtaining clearance from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for shares’ acquisition.
