Sergiy Marchenkov was born on 8th September 1963 in a town of Mayli-Say of Osh region of the Kirghiz SSR. 

Education

In 1985 Mr. Marchenkov graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic Institute, having acquired a profession of an engineer in the field of industrial heat-and-power electroengineering.

From September 1987 to September 1988 attended the Higher KGB Courses of the USSR (Tbilisi, Georgia).

In 2005 graduated with honours from the Institute of Intellectual Property and Law (Kyiv, Ukraine), specialization - "Intellectual Property", with the qualification of an intellectual property specialist.

Labour Activities

From September 1985 to September 1987 took up the posts of a master, senior master, section manager at the Hydrometallurgical industrial complex in Navoi, Uzbek SSR.

In 1988-1992 worked as operational personnel member of KGB departments in Uzbek SSR in Bukhara, Samarkand and Navoi regions.

In May 1992 Mr. Marchenkov was transferred to the department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kirovohrad region, where he held a post of a senior officer-in-charge. Voluntary terminated the service in December 1994.

Since the end of 1994 he had held executive posts in Kirovohrad directorates of "Ukraina" bank and Ukrsotsbank.

In April 2001, after moving to Kyiv, he started working at the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Industrial Property Institute" on positions of the head of Division and Department.

In May 2007 Mr. Marchenkov was appointed the Deputy Director, Acting Director of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Industrial Property Institute".
