Home; U.S. Diplomatic Mission to Ukraine; Law Enforcement Section Law Enforcement Section (LES) The Law Enforcement Section is responsible for coordinating and implementing criminal justice and law enforcement training and technical assistance programs in Ukraine funded by the Department of State and other USG agencies. The LES office works closely with the Ministry of Justice, Supreme Court, the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Ministry of the Interior, the State Border Guard Service and other agencies in the implementation of assistance programs to combat terrorism, organized crime, corruption, economic and financial crimes, intellectual property rights, trafficking in women and children and related criminal activity. Trafficking in Persons Reports The 140-country Trafficking in Persons Report
is the most comprehensive
worldwide report on the efforts of governments to combat severe forms
of trafficking in persons. Its purpose is to raise global awareness and
spur countries to take effective actions to counter trafficking in
persons.
The efforts of governments to fight human trafficking are rated in
tiers in the report based on tangible actions taken throughout the
year.
