Renting an apartment in Odessa, Ukraine is a popular alternative to an Odessa hotel, of which there are two extremes. At one end there are the cheap Soviet type hotels which are drab, dreary and very unappealing. At the other extreme are modern ***** star Odessa hotels which are very expensive at over 150 USD per night. It is virtually impossible to find a mid-range hotel. This means that you will be dealing direct with with me or a member of my staff and not some commission motivated agent who has little or no regard for customer service. The other advantage is that you pay no agents commissions, which can be a significant chunk of the rental price of your accommodation.

 I have been visiting Ukraine since 1996 and when I first began to provide accommodation in Odessa back in 2004 to International Visitors, I was one of the first foreigners to do so. (I have appeared on Local TV on two occasions. The first time for a Real Estate feature. The second for a feature regarding Odessa’s leading private hospital, Into Sana). The experience and wisdom I have gained over the years has enabled me to advise and assist my almost exclusively Foreign Clientele, to ensure that they get the very most from their stay in Odessa, Ukraine. Clients can be assured that I or a member of my English speaking staff is available 24/7.

THE APARTMENTS

Each apartment has its own independent 24-hour hot water system and in the event of a disruption to service its own backup water supply. All of the creature comforts are available in your accommodation including Air Conditioning, Cable TV with English, German, French and Italian channels, DVD and CD Player, Washing Machine, Microwave, optional PC and Mobile Phone. PERSONAL SAFETY AND SECURITY

 All ODESSA RENT A FLAT owned apartments are located in safe and secure locations in the center of town. In many cases entry to the apartment building is by coded combination. Entry doors are steel plated. For your added security each rental apartment has it’s own safe, that you can set to your own personal combination (It should be noted that Odessa is a safe town. In all my time in Ukraine I have never had a problem with personal security. Just exercise caution late at night, use your common sense and you’ll be fine.)

FREE AIRPORT TRANSFERS

 For the first time traveler to Odessa or Ukraine, emerging into the throng of waiting Taxi drivers in the Airport’s Arrival Hall can be a somewhat overwhelming experience. As part of ODESSA RENT A FLAT customer Service we will have an English-speaking driver there to meet you to take you directly to your accommodation in the centre of Odessa.(This offer applies to stays of five days or more. See Services page for details.) There is no additional charge for this.

ACCLIMATISATION PACK

 For some, arriving in Odessa for the first time can be something of a culture shock. To help you acclimatize and settle in quickly ODESSA RENT A FLAT provides it’s own survivors pack, a personal folder with Street Map in English, (there is no Tourist Information Office in Odessa) a practical intro guide to help you get by in Russian, advice on local Taxis and Currency Exchange, Security tips, a guide to the Odessa's Cultural Highlights, best Restaurants, Bars, Cafes plus Shopping Tips.

SATELLITE TV IN THE APARTMENT

 Many ODESSA RENT A FLAT apartments now have Satellite TV installed. Enjoy over 300 channels including BBC World, CNN, Discovery Channels, Adult Channels, Movie Channels etc available in English. There are also a wide range of French, German, Italian and Spanish Channels included in the package. This feature is rare in that most rental apartments in Odessa have the standard Cable with no English Channels available.

ADVANCE SHOPPING REQUEST (ASR)

 It is understandable that after a long flight you may not to want to go to the local supermarket shopping for basics. As part of ODESSA RENT A FLAT client commitment, we offer our ASR service. We suggest a Basic Basket (B) and/or a Luxury Basket (L). Additional items may be specified. Cost of this service is $20 plus the cost of the goods. Please note that the cost of the groceries must be paid for in advance. (Odessa Cognac is actually very good. So much so that it can be difficult to distinguish it from some of the more established Western brands. At about $10 for the 5* variety it’s great value. Also good value and recommended are the Red and Black varieties of Caviar).This service is not provided by any of the Odessa hotels.  

WHAT NO ELEVATOR IN THE APARTMENT?

 NONE of ODESSA RENT A FLAT owned apartments are above the second floor. This is worth remembering because with very few exceptions all apartment buildings in the center of Odessa have no lift. Let more worthwhile pursuits benefit from your energies and not the ascent to your rental apartment!

SLEEPEASY

 The beds in each apartment are larger than the standard double bed and some apartments have super king-size beds. The imported bed linens are specially selected to guarantee comfort and satisfaction. Bathrooms have luxury soft towels to please the most discerning traveler. Apartments are cleaned, bed linen and towels changed every 5 days. Additional cleaning is available on request. Laundry and Dry Cleaning Service is available on request for a modest fee.

ROMANCE TRIPS TO UKRAINE

 Many of my male clients travel to Ukraine in search of Romance. Some of these clients may have been communicating over the internet with a girl in Ukraine for some time and others have been dealing with different dating agencies. For those traveling to Ukraine for this purpose I can offer a tour of the best marriage agencies/dating agencies in Odessa. I can advise on reputable agencies. Those that should be avoided. Websites that are worthwhile. In fact a whole range of advice (I once had a client who proposed to a girl who he met on the internet. The girl was well known locally, as she plied her trade at the bars of the towns nightclubs).

QUIET NIGHT IN

Even the most ardent party animal fancies the odd night in. ODESSA RENT A FLAT offers the option of 3 DVD movies from its extensive and up to date library to be made available in the apartment FREE of charge on arrival (Popcorn not included). Clients wishing to avail of this unique ODESSA RENT A FLAT option should advise so in the apartment reservation and a list of available titles will be e-mailed by return. Additional DVDs are available in the apartment for a modest fee.
