14.06.2004 - 19th International Coordinating Board

On the 8th of June at Motor Sich JSC (Zaporozhye) the 19th meeting of International Coordinating Board was held relating to collaboration in the field of aircraft engine-building between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. The meeting was headed by Mr. S.Yu.Rynkevich, co-chairman of MKS, Deputy General Director of Rosaviakosmos; Mr. V.P.Kovtun, the member of MKS, the chief of Aviation Industry Administration of the Ministry of Industrial Politics of Ukraine; Mr. V.M. Chuyko, Deputy Co-Chairman of MKS, President of ASSAD.

The following issues were being settled on the agenda:

  • The course of performing the intergovernmental agreements between the Russian Federation and Ukraine relating to building and production of D-436T1/TP and AI-22 engines.
  • SE Progress ZMKB, Tupolev JSC and TsIAM are to ensure completion of introducing the ground airborne control and diagnostics system of the D-436T1/TP engine for operation on ‘on-condition’ basis in 2004.
  • Take into account the statement of Mr. V.A. Yakovlev (Saluyt FGUP MMPP) about elimination of delays in supplying the accessories of D-436T1/TP engines in September, 2004.
  • Entrust the General Administration of ASSAD with a task to prepare and coordinate the working group staff within a ten-day period relating to preparation of the Protocol to Intergovernmental agreement No.15 dtd. 08.09.1993 with regard to manufacture and distribution of intellectual property for the D-436T/T;
  • The issues of building, development and production of the AI-222-25 engine.
  • Note that the AI-222-25 engine is built in accordance with “the schedule of building the AI-222-25 engine for Yak-130 aircraft ” established by the Customer.
  • Ask Air Force of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation to consider the possibility of increasing the volume of financing the building of the AI-222-25 engine for Yak-130 aircraft in 2004-2005.
  • The progress of work on the AI-500 engine (AI-450 TP) by SE Progress ZMKB.
  • Include Mr. V.A. Shaitov, Chief of Armament of Air Force of Ukraine, in the membership of MKS.
