Oxford and Cambridge Colleges Hospitality Schemes
Oxford and Cambridge universities, in conjunction with the Open Society Institute, offer one-month visiting program for scholars who wish to work in the universities' libraries or to contact academic specialists in their subjects. Scholars will normally be post-doctoral or of equivalent status and will be university teachers or members of research institutes.

Course Development Competition 2006-2007

FELLOWSHIP- Memberships 2006-2007
in the School for Historical Studies, Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, New Jersey.
The School of Historical Studies principal interests are history of western, near eastern and far eastern civilizations, Greek and Roman civilization, history of Europe (medieval, early modern, and modern), the Islamic world, East Asian studies, history of art, music studies and modern international relations.
Candidates of any nationality may apply for one or two terms.
Residence in Princeton during term time is required. The only other obligation of Members is to pursue their own research. The Ph.D. (or equivalent) and substantial publications are required.

СEU CRC has announced its Fall 2005 sessions.
CEU Curriculum Research Center is the Central European University's outreach program for Social Science teaching. Each session offers an intensive week-long period for syllabi review, library work and meetings with CEU professors, department/program heads and also offers the opportunity of attending CEU teaching sessions in the relevant discipline.

Harvard Academy Scholars Program 2006-07
The purpose of the Academy Scholars Program is to identify outstanding scholars who are at the start of their careers and whose work demonstrates disciplinary excellence in the social sciences (including history and law). Academy Scholars are supported by the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies to work for two years conducting either post-doctoral or dissertation research.

NSP ALUMNI GRANTS PROGRAM 2005-06
The Program offers grants to NSP alumni to further expand the knowledge gained during their fellowship and make a positive contribution to their home country. 
All proposals must be related to the Open Society Institute's mission of supporting educational, social, political and legal reform, and of encouraging alternative approaches to complex and controversial issues. 
Collaborative projects between alumni, across countries (EU accession countries are especially encouraged to collaborate with countries further East); with host universities, are welcome.

Global Supplementary Grant Program (GSGP)
The program offers supplementary grants to students from selected countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union to pursue doctoral studies in the humanities and social sciences at accredited universities in Western Europe, the Middle/Near East, Asia, Australia, and North America.
Supplemental funding is provided for one year of study with the option to apply for a second year. Renewal grants are not guaranteed; competition for renewal takes place among the general pool of applicants. Only students who have been accepted into a full-time doctoral (Ph.D.) program at an accredited university are eligible to apply.
The deadlines for receiving applications is:
For students pursuing a Ph.D. in North America, Asia, or Australia: April 1.
For students pursuing a Ph.D. in Western Europe or the Middle/Near East: June 3.

CALL FOR RETURNING SCHOLARS TO TEACH IN EASTERN EUROPE, EURASIA, AND MONGOLIA
The International Higher Education Support Program (HESP) of the Open Society Institute is pleased to announce the 2005-06 Returning Scholar Fellowship Program.
RSFP invites applications for 2005-06 from academics having graduated (or expecting to graduate by September 2005) from a Western-accredited or HESP-supported university with a postgraduate degree in social sciences/humanities who, after studying abroad, seek university positions and academic careers in their home countries . The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy is very pleased to announce the 6th annual American Studies Summer School which will take place in Odesa and will be hosted by the South Ukrainian State Pedagogical University from May 30-June 3. Soros Supplementary Grants Programme (SSGP)
This programme was created to assist the citizens of Central and Eastern Europe - CEE, the former Soviet Union and Mongolia, who are pursuing advanced study within this region but outside of their home countries.
Grants are available to undergraduates and post-graduates enrolled at recognised institutes of higher education for one academic year and will be granted in amounts from $ 1,000 to 5,000 US..

The Lane Kirkland Scholarships in the 2005-2006 academic year.

OSI/FCO OXFORD CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS 2005-2006
The International Renaissance Foundation welcomes applications from citizens of Ukraine for the OSI/FCO Chevening Scholarships 2005-2006, which are jointly funded by the Open Society Institute and the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
The scholarships are for postgraduate study for periods of up to one year.

In collaboration with the Open Society Institute and the United Kingdom's Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Cambridge Overseas Trust offers a number of scholarships to enable students of outstanding academic merit from Ukraine to pursue one-year taught postgraduate courses of study at the University of Cambridge in subjects relevant to the needs of their countries.
