Dear Ladies and gentlemen! Colleagues and friends!
We are pleased to be able to welcome you to our website. I sincerely hope that that after you have become acquainted with the contents of our site you will find it interesting and useful.
The Internet is the dawning of a new era and, through this site, you can observe the history of our Institute and learn how it has evolved from the formation of the world renowned Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics (SDB) decades ago to its present computing technology leadership.
The formation of this institute in the early 1960's created one of the first in the USSR and became the leading center in the computer and software industry in the USSR. Now, it has been nearly ten years since the Ukraine has become a democracy and our institute is taking advantage of this freedom to leverage our advanced information technologies, the deep intellectual talent pool of the Ukraine and the hard working Ukrainian people.
The Institute of Mathematical Machines and Systems Problems (IMMSP) of the Ukraine National Academy of Science was formed in 1992 as a direct evolution from the SDB. SDB has consistently been a worldwide leader in the computing industry and were innovators and leaders in developing the first well known PC, developed many of the applications vital to the USSR space and defense systems and have made many innovations in complex mathematical control systems. Today, IMMSP is a leading national scientific center in the situation control sphere and other innovative information technologies.Of course, neither machines nor technologies make the Institute, it is our talented, dedicated people who are constantly searching for innovative and creative applications of technology. The scientific potential of the original SDB that was started nearly four decades ago continues to advance, enriching itself with new ideas, embracing new technologies and tapping into a broad range of new knowledge. IMMSP is structured with 14 research and 19 production departments with over 500 employees contributing to its success and growth.IMMSP concentrates research in such demanding fields as automated systems for ecological monitoring, decision making simulation, intelligent information systems based on neurocomputers, systems for the testing of microelectronic production of NCS technology, space research, information technology for health protection and many more. The importance of many of these research areas for the developing Ukraine democracy cannot be exaggerated because one unresolved strategic problem can cause hundreds of new tactical problems. As a result, the simulation of the social and political issues is vital to Ukraine during this transition period. The systems developed by our leading specialists uses scientific and analytical support and corresponding information systems technologies are being used by the highest state authorities for decision-making and have become as essential instrument for them.
The most important research and development has been devoted to the situation center of the President of the Ukraine and for the information analytical system "RADA" of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukraine. In addition IMMSP has developed the organizational systems of the Ukrainian Parliament. Some of our most important customers include: Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Central electoral commission, the Ministry of Science and Technologies, the Ministry of machine building, military industrial complex and conversion and the Ministry of Ecology. Through our web page you can connect with these and other national and international sites and judge for yourself the level of scientific and technical capability and cooperation of IMMSP.
So, again, welcome and please browse through our site to learn more about our history, capabilities and future. We hope that you will be a frequent visitor and that we will be in direct contact with you. Success and good luck to you.
