Konnov & Sozanovsky – a tradition of service

1992 - Sergey Konnov creates the law firm, Bratiko, with main practice in corporate and civil law. The firm initially consisted of three lawyers. In 1993 Sergei Sozanovsky, a specialist in real estate and tax law, joines the firm.

1994 – The founders of Bratiko register in the Ministry justice of Ukraine an advocate association named Konnov & Klivansky attorneys at law, the main practice of which now embraces civil, corporate, tax law, legal support of real estate transactions, intellectual property law. Sergey Konnov becomes the managing partner of the firm.

1996 - Konnov & Klivansky open an office in the city of Chernovtsy (Ukraine), which was motivated by the necessity of more effective support of activity of some clients in this region.

1996 - Konnov & Klivansky provide legal support for the creation of the leading national TV channel Inter (CJSC «Ukrainian TV-Corporation»). Since then and for the next 5 years the TV channel Inter becomes one of the main clients of  the firm, and intellectual property law and media law – the main practice areas of the advocate office.

1997 - Oleg Klivansky leaves the firm and the advocate office is renamed Konnov & Sozanovsky attorneys at law. At that time the partners of the advocate office were Sergey Konnov and Sergey Sozanovsky, the firm consisted of 13 lawyers, and the number of clients was about 200.

1997 - Sergey Sozanovsky is appointed the managing partner of the advocate office. According to the ten leading law firms rating, held by Yuridicheskaya Practika newspaper, Konnov & Sozanovsky is given the third place. Since then the advocate office has never left this rating.

1999 - Natalia Subota, a head of the litigation department, becomes a partner of the advocate office. This is also the period when departments begin to form the internal structure of the firm. The division was are established according to specialization.

2000 - The partners of Konnov & Sozanovsky arrive at a decision to expand the practice eastwards and open an office in Moscow (the Russian Federation). This was caused by the increase in demand of rendering legal services on the territory of the Russian Federation. Corporate law and arbitration become the main practice areas of the new office.

2005 - Tatiana Glukhovskaya, Victor Mirskiy and Ronald Marks become partners in the firm.

2006  - This year is marked by creation of two new offices - in London (Great Britain) and Nicosia (Republic of Cyprus). The general number of lawyers in the four offices of the firm totals 50 persons, and the number of clients exceeds 1300. The same year Tatiana Glukhovskaya is made the managing partner of the firm.
