Brief Overview

The Economics Education and Research Consortium (EERC) and Kyiv-Mohyla Academy invite all interested persons from Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova to apply to Ukraine’s first international caliber master’s program in economics (The Swedish Initiative for Belarus and Moldova).

The application deadline is June 25, 2004.

Admission exams and interviews will be conducted in Kyiv in July 2004.

Admission to the program is based on merit and is open to any citizen of Ukraine, Belarus or Moldova who meets the basic eligibility requirements:

  • Specialist’s or bachelor’s degree by the time of entrance from an accredited institution (3rd or 4th level of accreditation)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Submission of required documents for admission by the specified deadlines

A prior specialization in economics is desirable, but not essential.

Selection for admission is based on a review of the application materials, results of the written exams, and an interview, which will be conducted by English-speaking professional economists.

EERC selects participants on the basis of merit and in the spirit of open competition. EERC does not discriminate on the basis of ethnic origin, national origin, race, or color in its hiring practices or in the administration of its educational policies, selection procedures, scholarship and loan programs, or other EERC-administered competitions. EERC grants participants of any race, color, national and ethnic origin all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to individuals through EERC.
