Magister & Partners, a leading, CIS-based international law firm, announced the appointment of two new Partners in its Moscow office. John Patrick Ryan, previously with Russin & Vecchi LLP and Nestle Food LLC, and Andrey Shevchenko, previously Legal Director at Rosneft, have both joined the Firm.
Mr. Ryan joined the Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Practice of the Firm, while Mr. Shevchenko will add strength and depth to the Firm's growing expertise in oil and gas, litigation, and corporate law. Therefore, the Firm's number of Partners has reached eleven, four of whom are based in the Firm's Moscow office.
The appointments build on Magister & Partners' other recent strategic hires which included the appointment of Jason E. Bruzdzinski as Chief Operating Officer, in September, and Dr. Sergey Karaganov as Senior Adviser on Russian Politics, Economic and Strategic Analysis, in October. Magisters' last addition to its partnership occurred in May 2007 when Volodymyr Baibarza, formerly an International Partner with Chadbourne & Parke LLP, joined the M&A and Corporate Practice of the Firm.
You may find additional information on these and other appointments in the following press releases: John Patrick Ryan, Andrey Shevchenko, Sergey Karaganov, Jason E. Bruzdzinski and Volodymyr Baibarza.
