The four-million passenger
This year Boryspil International Airport has overcome the four million passenger level confirming the status of developing and improving airport.
On November 9 Boryspil International Airport handled the four million passenger. It was Tetyana Hammer, born in Lviv, but now living and working in Vienna.
Airport staff sincerely greeted the special passenger, and Andriy Mazur, Director of Boryspil International Airport gifted her valuable presents.
" I am pleased with the services your airport provides, - Tetyana Hammer said when taking congratulations. It is significant to mark that the services are improving every year. I would like to wish the airport staff, managers and all the employees prosperity, good results in business, satisfaction of work. I wish you happiness and a lot of passengers".
During the meeting with the representatives of mass media Andriy Mazur had a chance to tell about the prospects of airport development and about the work aimed at the increasing of passenger traffic flow. As the Director mentioned the annual gain of passenger traffic flow in the airport is 16 %. We have a lot of projects now. First of all we are planning to put into operation the gallery in the west part of the Terminal. Thus the construction of Terminal D will commence for the funds granted by the Japanese government. All corresponding project documents are ready. Bidder documentation is submitted to the Japanese part. Today Boryspil International Airport is the main air gateway of Ukraine. It handles about 61% of Ukrainian air passenger traffic flow and takes first place, as previously, in the rating of native international airports for the amount of handled passengers.
Today the Airport accepts regular flights of 41 foreign and 32 domestic airlines. Airport provides more than 90 different kinds of services. Aviation activity of Boryspil International Airport includes all services for passengers and baggage handling in Terminals, aviation security services and a large variety of the ground handling services: unloading and loading of aircraft, transportation of crew members and passengers to/ from aircraft, cleaning of aircraft, towing of aircraft, cargo handling and warehousing. Boryspil International Airport is a dynamically developing enterprise that improves its activity by enhancing the quality of passenger services, involving new airlines and keeping the leading airport position in national economy.
