Ukraine’s sugar plants produced 1.7 mn tons of sugar
As of November 26, 2007, Ukraine’s sugar producers produced 1.685 mn tons sugar down by 23% versus the respective period of 2006.
Presently, there are 40 sugar plants – sugar beat reprocesses in Ukraine, 69 had finished the season, and one stopped the work over sugar row absence.
Earlier, the plan was at the level 1.7-1.8 mn tons versus 2.6 mn tons in 2006. The experts explain this situation due to later sugar refining process and reduction of the beat harvest. Source: Agency of Industrial News.

In January-November 2007, meat production was 710 ths tons in Ukraine
In 10 months of 2007, according to the State Statistic Committee of Ukraine, meat production was 709.9 ths tons versus 627.8 ths tons in 2006.
In the period under review, meat production growth by 9.6% to 404.8 ths tons, pork meat – by 21% to 131.7 ths tons, beef – by 13.7% to 157.6 ths tons.
At the same time, the 1st category semi products production moved up by 15.7% to 13.5 ths tons. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine prognoses meat production at the level – 1.9 mn tons in 2007, and 2 mn tons in 2008 (include poultry meat – 1.1 mn tons). Source: Agency of Industrial News.

In October 2007, Ukraine cut milk production by 10%
According to the State Statistic Committee of Ukraine, in October 2007, milk production moved down by 10.1% versus September to 997.2 ths tons.
In the period under review, private sector decreased milk production by 10.1% to 840.2 ths tons and agriculture sector – by 10.4% to 157 ths tons.
Percentage between milk production in agriculture and private sectors made 16:84. If compared to October 2006, Ukraine decreased milk production by 14.1%. Source: Agency of Industrial News.

Ukraine’s malt production was 40 ths tons in October 2007
According to the State Statistic Committee of Ukraine, in October 2007, Ukraine’s enterprises produced 39.3 ths tons of malt, up by 7% vs September 2007.
If compared to October 2006, malt production moved up by 5%. The largest malt producers were Vostochnourainskaya Malturop Company (Kharkov) – 9.5 ths tons, Slavuta Malt Plant – 8.9 ths tons, Berdychiv Malt Plant and Obolon Company – 4.7 and 4.2 ths tons correspondingly.

In 10 months of 2007, machine-building complex in Dnepropetrovsk region dropped production by 2.3%
In Dnepropetrovsk region, machine-building industry cut production by 2.3% (in comparative price) versus January-October 2006.
According to the operate data, in October 2007, cars production moved up by 25.4% against September 2007 and by 29.3% versus October 2006.

Chernigov Commercial Port cut turnover by 2.2% in 9 months of 2007
In 9 months of 2007, Chernigov Commercial Port’s turnover made 619 ths tons, down by 2.2% versus the respective period of 2006.

Dnepropetrovsk River Port increased rolled metal trans-shipment by 3.7%
In 9 months of 2007, Dnepropetrovsk Rover Port transported 1.753 mn tons, up by 9.3% versus the respective period of 2006.
The enterprise reported, the port processed 97.8 ths tons of export cargo, 156 ths tons of import cargo, and — 1.499 mn tons of cabotage cargo. Rolled metal export trans-shipment growth by 3.7%, container — by 13.8%, sand – by 2.5%.

As the State Statistics Committee reported, in May 2007, industrial production growth was 9.9% against May 2006.
In May 2007, industrial production increased by 2.0% vs April 2007.
In January-May 2007, industrial production increased by 12.1% vs January-May 2006.
As was reported, in April 2007, industrial production increased by 12.3% vs April 2006.

As of June 1, 2007, wheat reserves were 2.5 mn tones.
The State Statistics Committee reported, according to the specialist, wheat reserves were at the level of 2.55 mn tones as of June 1, 2007.
Wheat reserves decreased by 277.1 ths tones vs May 1, 2007.
As of June 1, 2007, wheat reserves increased by 691.5 ths tones vs June 1, 2006.
