Commodity turnover between Ukraine and EU in 2007 included about 15 mlrd of USD that is almost in 1.5 times more than for the first half of previous year, reported Anatoliy Kinakh.
He admitted that the amount of trade output with EU includes almost 90% and that Euro Union, in which countries third part of all Ukrainian goods is imported, is one of the most trading partners of Ukraine.
The growth of commodity turnover between Ukraine and EU is explained by the increasing of demand among the Ukrainians for the high quality European output and afflux of the European investments into the Ukrainian economics, considers director of Institute of the economical investigations and political consulting Igor Burakovskiy.
In the comment he mentioned that the growth of income among the Ukrainians stimulates the growth of demand for the European cars and other high quality and expensive tools.
One more fact of increasing of commodity turnover is stable growth of import of Euro technologies to Ukraine. The positive dynamics of commodity turnover, according to the expert opinion, will promote the enhancement of economical Euro integration of Ukraine. The first step in this direction is considered to be current preparation to negotiations about zone of free trade Ukraine-EU.
In addition let's remind that Ukraine is on the way of developing of collaboration with EU in all fields. This draws our country closer to EU countries. Ukraine's strategy for integration to the EU is based on:
-Constitution of Ukraine, which assumes the aims of the Ukrainian foreign policy activity through maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial collaboration with the members of international community according to the and standards of international law.
-Partnership and Cooperation Agreement that was signed between two parties represented by Ukraine from one side and the European Union from the other (PCA). This agreement sets the mechanism of interaction between Ukraine and the EU.
-Main Directions of Ukrainian Foreign Policy.
