SCM Project Manager

The primary objective of this position is to define and execute the SCM Vision as well as ensure the highest possible efficiency level from the SCM t team to the successful execution of tasks/Projects while maintaining compliance to process. The incumbent will act a liaison between PD Leaders and the SCM team and instill a passion for excellence on the team
Responsibilities:
• Define the SCM Vision (short-term and long term). Includes the following, Source Control Management, Build Management, System Administration of Development and Test Environments, Version Control, Archiving, Support/Development Tool Management & Training, Auto Test Support with Nightly Builds
• Execute on priorities specified by the system owner(s)
• Negotiate the scope of work to be executed in each iteration by team.
• Communicates the priority of features to the project teams.
• Keeps project on track.
• Ensures team-level process compliance to drive quality
• Ensures requirements of the project are met.
• Expedites decision making.
• Ensures leaders are aware of customer needs.
• Contributes to improvement of development processes.
• Communicates honest, straight forward feedback on individual performance to the Resource Director and the individual.
• Facilitate communication between teams and external information sources
• Report project progress to system owners and other stakeholders
• Communicate requirements to project teams
• Provide input on SCM team for performance management
• Develops a highly motivated team.
• Attains a deep understanding of the CQG SCM needs
• Acts as an advocate of customer needs.
Education, Experience, Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 8+ years of SCM experience, including 4+ years demonstrated technical project management experience.
• Demonstrated record of delivering high quality results.
• Management of large /Distributed (15+) teams.
• Broad technical knowledge of Leading SCM Technologies, tools and industry standards.
• Strong Knowledge of SCM Best Practices
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• CVS Knowledge
• MS Build Knowledge
• Cruise Control Knowledge
• Perl
• Distributed Build Solutions
Working Conditions:
Fast paced, results-oriented environment. Deliverables and project deadlines dictate work hours. Some travel may be required.
