QArea to sponsor a quiz in Kharkov Universities

QArea is going to sponsor a quiz for the students-programmers of the senior courses in a number of Kharkov universities. The students will be offered to answer a set of questions testing their knowledge of programming science and level of understanding of telecommunication industry in Ukraine. Starting from May 14 the quiz will be held first in National Technical University "Kharkov Polytechnical Institute" (NTU "KhPI"), following Kharkov National University of Radioelectronics (KhNURE) and National Aerospace University “Kharkov Aviation Institute” (KhAI). The listed universities are the part of intellectual core of the country and prepare hundreds of IT and telecom specialists annually. Students who show the deepest knowledge of the Ukrainian mobile industry and give the most precise answers will be awarded with a trip to Mobile Monday conference on May 28 in Kiev.

Since June 2006 Mobile TV has been successfully operating in Germany making a new chapter in the history of German broadcasting when first-class TV reception is available on handheld devices everywhere. The creator of this new era is Mobiles Fernsehen Deutschland GmbH. As Germany’s first mobile TV provider MFD holds broadcasting licenses for the DMB standard (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) for the entire country. In cooperation with such TV channels as ZDF, MTV, ProbSieben.Sat.1 Media AG, the first German mobile TV provider is growing its subscribers' database successfully.

Mobile Monday Germany

Mobile Monday Germany was launched on December 4, 2006 with the opening event of the Düsseldorf Chapter which gathered around 120 participants and put Germany right at the heart of the Global Mobile Monday movement, as the organizers claim. A great selection of speakers and a furious round of non-stop networking, accompanied by refreshments provided by the event sponsors, AdMob, O2, Deutsche Post and Tecon Terenci made the event unforgettable for all its visitors. The new season of MoMo Düsseldorf events opened on February 26 with the Mobile Social Software chosen as a topic of the first in 2007 conference.
