The European Language School

5 things you might not have known about the EU…

The European Language School

This is always one of the most popular attractions in the European Village. People love to learn a few basic phrases and words, both useful and silly. Therefore, we have decided to double our capacity by introducing a second Language School tent this year. Come and celebrate the linguistic diversity of our little continent! Compare and contrast your native Ukrainian or Russian with fellow Slavonic Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Slav-Macedonian, Polish, Slovak and Slovenian. Spice up your school or university knowledge of English, French, and German and discover some of the peculiarities of the Austrian German dialect. You’ll also have a unique chance to explore more unusual languages such as Danish, Dutch (in two variants), Estonian, Finnish, Greek, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish and Swedish. Who knows: your newfound knowledge might come in handy when meeting other Europeans on Europe Day and afterwards!

Lessons will start every half hour and last 25 minutes. They will be taught to groups of around 6 people per language teacher in two tents at the same time:

Language School Tent (1)

11:00 – 14:00 Dutch (Belgium), Estonian, German (Germany), Greek, Polish, Slovenian
14:15 – 16:45 Croatian, Dutch (Netherlands), Italian, Slovak, Spanish

Language School Tent (2)

11:00 – 14:00 English, Finish, German (Austria), Latvian, Lithuanian, Slav-Macedonian, Swedish,
14:15 – 16:45 Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, French, Portuguese, Romanian
