Online TV is a new service for UMC subscribers including SIM-SIM and JEANS users whereby they may view TV programs and subject content online.
Hot news, amusing video releases, cartoons, and gripping music – you will be to get all this on your mobile phone through Online TV.
To start using Online TV:
- Check whether your handset supports WAP, GPRS/EDGE and streaming video;
- Activate Online TV for your mobile number;
- Set up your handset;
- Choose the content;
- Pay for the service access.
Checking
You can check whether you handset supports WAP, GPRS/EDGE and streaming video on the producer’s website or in the manual to your handset.
Just for your information, Online TV may be activated in the following models:

Activation
To activate the service Online TV for your mobile number, you need:
For contract users:
- Contacting the UMC Call Centre on the telephone number 111
For SIM-SIM, JEANS users:
- To dial the free-of-charge USSD request *109*216#
or
- To send a free SMS on number 1040006
To activate the WAP GPRS, MMS GPRS, Mobile GPRS-Internet, Online-TV, Hyper. NET at one time, you may use the free-of-charge USSD request *109*210# or SMS 1040001. To check the GPRS services status, use the USSD request *109*20# (free-of-charge).
Setting Up
You may set up your handset automatically in “Settings” section of “Online TV” WAP-site or manually by:

Choosing Content
You may choose the content by going to the Online TV section on wap.umc.ua (to access wap.umc.ua you should have WAP service activated and set up in your mobile phone).
While viewing the content list on the WAP website, you are paying for the WAP service.

Payment
You may pay for the service by sending an SMS to one of the short numbers. Please see the list of the numbers, the SMS prices and the service validity periods in the table below:

Watching
Upon paying for the service, you will get a message confirming your successful payment, whereupon you will be able to watch video content from the catalogue available on wap.umc.ua
While watching video on your telephone, you are paying for the GPRS access to Online TV.
Online TV Tariffs
GPRS WAP – While choosing the content on the UMC WAP-portal, you are paying for the WAP service as per your tariff package.
Catalogue Access: You may pay for the catalogue access for:
- 1 day (24 hours upon booking) – 10 UAH (VAT included, PF excluded).
- 1 week (168 hours upon booking) – 20 UAH (VAT included, PF excluded).
- 1 month (744 hours upon booking) – 40 UAH (VAT included, PF excluded).
GPRS access to Online TV for watching the streaming video costs:
- 2.77 UAH (VAT included, PF excluded) per MB between 08.00h and 00.00h.
- 1.11 UAH (VAT included, PF excluded) per MB between 00.00h and 08.00h.
Service Provision Peculiarities
For more comfortable use of the service it is better to stay within the UMC EDGE coverage.
No streaming video may be accessed through the Mobile GPRS-Internet service.
1 MB is equal to 5 minutes of viewing in standard quality (32 kbps) or 2,5 minutes of viewing in high quality (64 kbps).
