Internship in the USA
The program offers students and young professionals (not
later than 12 months since graduation date) in bussiness, economics, computers,
social work, law, journalism, public administration, transportation and
technical studies an opportunity to work at an American company and gain
experience related to their field of study or occupation. When arriving
to the United States participants should have enough money to support
themselves for the first month of the program. The best chances have those
majoring in marketing, computers and finance. Some employers may offer
monetary compensation but it usually not enough to cover living expenses.
To be able to get a salary which is at least equal to minimum wages participants
need either have very good qualifications and work experience in the field
of future internship or to arrange a position and salary with a potential
emploeyr themselves.
Applicants wishing to specify the amount of wages could
do so in the application form; however they should realize, that by doing
so they may decrease they chances of placement down to 40%.
There are 2 options in this program.
Option 1. Summer Internship
The program offers student an opportunity to develop
skills and explore different career options by working as an intern at
a company in the US. The desired position may or may not be related to
student's field of study. Interns are eligible to find additional work
to help cover their living expenses, as long as it does not interfere
with their internship.

Option 2. Practical Training Program.
The program is designed for students and recent graduates and young
professionals who have already chosen their career path and now require
additional training in their field. Placements are possible in media and
communications, management, tourism, business, finance, sciences, engineering,
architecture, industrial occupations, public administration and law.

в США
Программа предназначена
для студентов, заинтересованных в
приобретении практического опыта работы по
своей специальности. Трудно придумать
лучшую возможность провести время с
пользой для будущей карьеры и сделать
безупречными английский и резюме.
Подавать в эту программу можно в
любое время года. Нужно лишь учитывать, что
с момента предоставления в ЦМО заполненной
анкеты до Вашего вылета в США пройдет 1,5-3
месяца.
В программе могут участвовать
студенты со вторых по пятые курсы
включительно (предпочтение студентам 3 и 4
курсов), а также молодые специалисты (диплом
получен не более одного года назад).
Длительность стажировки - от 2 до 18.
Участникам предоставляется виза J-1.
Поиском работодателя занимается
потенциальный участник программы,
используя информацию, полученную в ЦМО,
Интернет, помощь родственников и знакомых,
личные контакты и фантазию. Часто задается
вопрос, насколько это реально - найти
работодателя самому. Отвечаем - максимально
реально, если Вы обучаетесь по одной из
специальностей, связанных с экономикой,
менеджментом, математикой, юриспруденцией,
информационными технологиями и др., а также
обладаете навыками ведения англоязычной
переписки и адекватной мотивацией. Итак,
это вполне реально, посоветуйтесь с нами и
начните искать.
Стажировка ОБЯЗАТЕЛЬНО должна
соответствовать Вашей специальности.
Нельзя стажироваться в области
здравоохранения (медицины), психиатрии и
психотерапии. Невозможна стажировка в
качестве Au Pair или вожатого в летнем лагере.
Нельзя подменить стажировку каким-либо
типом летней работы - housekeeping, dishwashing и т.д.
Каждый работодатель проверяется на предмет
того, насколько позиция, которую он
предлагает участнику программы,
соответствует образованию и
профессиональным интересам последнего.
Анкета по программе состоит из
двух частей. 1-ая заполняется участником, 2-ая
-американским работодателем. Дополнительно
желательно предоставить 2 рекомендации.
Стоимость программы: 2-4 месяца - $1500 долларов, 6 месяцев
- $1600, 9 месяцев - $1800, 12 месяцев - $1950 долларов, 18 месяцев - $2450.
В стоимость программы входит билет Киев-Нью-Йорк-Киев и медицинская страховка.
