We have held 2-days seminar for Community Connections alumni, covering such topics as "Internet Search", "Grant Seeking over the Internet", "Internet Resources for English Learners".

November 24

Satisfied participants after the seminar		IATP Trainer from Dnepropetrovsk Ilya Shvets traveled to Donetsk to conduct seminar about Macromedia Flash. Among the participants of seminar (13 persons) there were 7 ECA alumni. All participants admitted that this topic was of great interest and use to them.

November 16

IATP center in Dnepropetrovsk participated in syncroseminar "Internet in Education", conducted in all IATP centers in Ukraine. Our special thanks to RSEP alumnus Evgeniy Smotritsky, who partook in this seminar as co-trainer and chat moderator, and to "School Informational Internet Center" project, who assisted us in preparation of this event!

We have held "Web Design Basics" workshops for ECA programs alumni.

October 27
IATP trainer took part in AIESEC 3-day educational conference, presenting workshop "Internet for Economists". Materilas are downloadable from Training section of our web-site.

IATP center in Dnipropetrovsk held presentational meeting for Community Connections alumni, targeted to introduce IATP facilities for alumni. All particpants were excited to know about great opportunities IATP can offer. Special training for this audience will be held in the nearest future.

We have held seminar "Chat and ICQ for Studying Foreign Languages", developed in coopeation with "Ukraine Open University".

October 14

We have held seminar for alumni "Personality, Society, and the Role of Internet", prepared and conducted in cooperation with "Dialog-Club" NGO. All participants agreed that this IATP event was one of the most interesting ever. After the seminar, Alumni Club meeting was held. September 21

In IATP Dnipropetrovsk center, we have held seminar "Free Patent Online Databases", organized in cooperation with our partner - Dnipropetrovsk Regional Scientific Library - and Union of Inventors. This seminar was first of the series, dedicated to patent search on the Internet. It was targeted to researchers and university staff. Materials

IATP Representative took part in presentation of international students' NGO AIESEC, were he spoke about the project to potential and current members of the organization. IATP also provided 2 computers for demonstration of presentations by other speakers.

IATP center in Dnepropetrovsk conducts course "Creating Web Pages". Among the participants, there are U.S. citizen Paul Gibson and 2 his sons (on the photo).

We have held a seminar on "Web Site Promotion" for ECA alumni.

Seminar for alumni - "IP-telephony" - was held at the IATP center in Dnipropetrovsk.

Olga addressing alumni		July 5, IATP in Dnipropetrovsk organized an unusual meeting with alumni - on a boat. 24 alumni participated in the meeting. Artur Yaremenko and Olga Yakimakho addressed the participants and also some of the alumni wanted to say some words to their colleagues. The pleasant atmosphere made everyone at ease and contributed to lively discussions about Internet and not only that...

June 14

We held "Internet for University Teachers" seminar at our IATP center. All the participants were teachers from Radio Faculty of the Dnepropetrovsk National University. It was a 3 hour seminar aimed to give University Teachers practical tips how to use search engines and e-mail. It was also aimed to give them understanding that the Internet is really useful in their profession.

June 12

We held seminar for 2001 finalists of Muskie and FSA Undergarduate programs. Main topic of the seminar, "How to build a web-page with an HTML-editor", was interesting for all participants. In addition, we answered a number of questions of related to e-mail and search engines use.

IATP Representatives in Dnipropetrovsk took part in "Career Fair", organized by AIESEC. They have made presentation of IATP and of current Mini-Grants Competition.

We have held a meeting with representatives of "East - West Dialog Club" NGO, which work with physically challenged people. We discussed the opportunities of our cooperation in delivering a training series for their members, and in development of new course - "Internet for Phsycologists". We also made presentation of IATP Mini-Grants Competiotion.

April 12
We have held a seminar on "Web Site Management". It was developed for those people, who have some experience with creating web pages, and who want to improve and promote their sites. We discussed such topics as work with Macromedia Dreamweaver, domain name registration, guestbooks, and web site promotion.
Here is what one of the participants - head of DAU computer center Sergey Solovey - told us:
"I was very impressed with the high level of your presentation. I am far not novice in web design, but I can learn a lot from IATP trainer Illya Shvets, and I plan to do it."

April 5
We have held a seminar on Internet search for students and staff of Donetsk Agrarian University. Participants of the seminar liked our work.
"Some people still can't believe when I tell them that there is such project as IATP, which gives an opportunity to learn basics of work with Internet in quick and easy way," - one of the participants told us after the seminar.

We have had a Round table for teaching staff at Dnepropetrovsk Agrarian University "Designing Seminars for University Teachers", organized by USG alumna Halyna Bondar.

March 15 - 22

We have held "Creating Web Pages" course for the group of ECA alumni and other professionals. Everybody enjoyed the new and interesting things they've learned. Here is what Halyna Bondar, RSEP alumna, said about the course: "I am rather a busy person, so I treasure my time. Here, IATP was particulary helpfull for me - to learn everything it gave me during the course myself, it would have taken me much more time."

We have held "Creating Web Pages" course. The group consisted of ECA alumni, University teachers and other professionals. Here is what Lesia Ponomarenko, Community Connections alumna, left in our "Guestbook": "Before I attended this course, I thought that creating my web page would be a very complicated thing. Now I see that ther's nothing easier!"
