Miss Net World International Final in Tripoli, Libya
Miss @ Net World International Final took place in Tripoli, Libya. For 10 days participants from 23 countries of the world were training and preparing for the final show. During that time they had visited the ancient Roman Theater in Sabrata and the Sahara desert (the town of Sebha). Also they had a meeting with the lybian leader, Mouamar Ghadafi and visited his house, bombed by american aircrafts in 1986, where Miss Net USA made a speech and asked all the world leaders for peace.

The final ceremony, where the winner was announced, was held on the 2nd of November in Tripoli and was visited by some special guests, in particular Marta Marzotti and Isabella Rossini. During the show participants appeared on the stage in the national lybian clothes and lso in T-Shirts with Ghadafi's portrait.

The final voting for the Miss @ Net was made by Internet users at the www.missnetworld.tv site. It was very successfull and had gathered millions of votes. Most of them were given for Lucy Layton, the Miss @ Net UK, who became the winner of the Miss @ Net World International Final. First runner-up is Miss @ Net Italy Beatrice, the second runner-up is Nadja, Miss @ Net Morocco.

The contest had got the strong mass-media coverage worldwide (your can check it here) and currently our site is getting really huge amount of hits from users coming up from BBC and CNN websites.

Miss Net France at the "Nuit de Net" TV show
Miss Net France was a subject of the "Nuit de Net" TV show at M6 channel on 02.02.2001, where Mr. Omar Harfouch (president of the Miss Net World Organizing Committee) and two contest candidates took part. Click here to view the video from the show.
