Welcome to the website of Orphanage No.12 in Kiev, Ukraine!

Orphanage No.12 is a specialized institution for orphaned and abandoned children with minor learning disabilities aged 7 through 16. There are 88 children the orphanage at the moment.

This site has been created by a group of orphanage workers who have committed their lives to helping orphaned and abandoned children with special needs.

After working at Orphanage 12 for many years, we have felt the need to break through the isolation in which Ukrainian orphanages have operated for decades and tell the world about our children, their lives and the many ways we could make those lives better!

We specifically did not want this website to be an official one to avoid government censorship. However, the existence of this website and all the information/solicitations posted on it are fully sanctioned and supported by the orphanage administration.

We invite you to take a tour of the orphanage, introduce yourself to the children and staff, and read about our latest news, including our successes and failures. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments our tour leaves you with.

We hope that you will become a regular visitor to our site, and most importantly, we hope that you will become aware of and interested in the needs of orphaned and abandoned children in Ukraine.
