Vladimir Strutinsky was born in the Ukraine, January 10, 1947. At age of 15, he went to college of Fine Arts where he studied drawing and sculpture for a period of three years. He left the college to enroll in the Ukrainian Institute of Printing, Lviv to major in bookmaking and book illustration for four years. After graduating from the Institute, he worked as a book illustrator at major publishers in Kiev almost for two decades. In his spare time, he continued to create artwork in different techniques such as oil, water-color and prints.
He is a member of the Ukrainian Association of Printmakers and Miniature Art Society of Florida.
His artwork is in permanent collections of Art Galleries in Chamalieres, France (1994); Fridrikstad, Norway (1994); Cuprum-6, Poland (1994); Sint-Niklaas, Belgium (1995); Tama-Art University, Japan (1995); St.Petersburg, Florida, USA (2000),
etc.
