Work & Travel USA
Hire the most motivated employees in the world!
Work & Travel USA is a government-designated program that places
international students in seasonal jobs in the U.S. for up to 4 months
during their summer vacations.
Here’s how it works
You give us a description of the jobs you need to fill.
We provide you with the profiles of students who meet your needs.
You select the students you want to hire.
We do all the paperwork, assist them with documentation, hold orientation
and provide 24-hour support for students and employers.
And the service is free for employers.
Here’s what you get
Highly motivated and enthusiastic employees
Work commitment dates established before you hire
An accurate assessment of English levels
Diversity for your staff and customers
Confidentiality—we disclose your information to students only after you
have hired them
We feel InterExchange offers the most rigorously selected, English-proficient
and hard-working students available—and with our dedicated, full-time
staff, provide both you and the students with the best possible support.
The students arrive on J-1 Visas, which allow them to
work legally for up to 4 months. InterExchange requires the students to
commit to at least 3 months of work with their employer. Students are
sponsored by InterExchange and pay their own placement fees and airfare.
Please note, THERE IS NO FEE INVOLVED ON THE PART OF THE EMPLOYER. However,
employers are requested to provide or arrange suitable, affordable housing
for the students. This would be very difficult for the students to do
upon arrival.
Program participants are admitted based on personality, attitude and
adaptability. In addition to an extensive application, our staff conducts
personal interviews in the student’s home country – all of this information
is available to you upon request (by e-mail or fax). Students in the program
understand that it is an exchange program (not a professional internship)
and have attended both pre- and post-arrival orientations in which it
is made clear that they must be flexible, hard-working and adaptable.
