Crimean peninsula is a small mountainous country ... as Catherine the Great said, " that is the MAIN PEARL in the Russian empire crown". That's it. One can travel in Crimea on mountain bike. There a lot of paths and earth roads for biking for multi days tours as well as for one day trips. Or you can discover Crimean peninsula on your Fingertips. This is a fantastic place for rock climbers and mountaineers. Many people from all over the world succeed here their challenge. There are about 10 great areas for your climbing experience with a big number of routes from 5a to 8c+ (from 5.9 to 5.14 correspond to American categories (grades)). It is also great for trekking multi days travel. Or may be easy hiking in the vicinity of Yalta (Yalta is the summer capital of Ukraine). Crimea also is a karst region. It attracts cave explorers who looking for new caves, new discovery.
